Beef Stroganoff is a popular Russian dish of small pieces of beef fillet sautéed in together with onions and mushrooms and cream. It is known for its rich flavor and comforting texture.
It is very tasty and easy to make, specially in this recipe it is made in one pot only, so do not worry about doing the dishes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Kg Beef Stroganoff I used Biftek Meat or Beefsteak
  • 1 Large Onion Finely chopped
  • 200 g Mushroom Sliced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp Flour
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 Cup Cooking cream
  • 1 Cup Beef broth
  • ½ Tsp Salt and
  • ¼ TSP Black pepper
  • 5 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

Instructions
 

Brown the Beef:
  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
    5 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  2. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
    1 Kg Beef Stroganoff
  3. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Sauté Vegetables and Combine with the Beef:
  1. In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
    1 Large Onion, 2 Garlic Cloves
  2. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their liquid.
    200 g Mushroom
Create the Sauce:
  1. Add Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper and stir.
    1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 Tbsp Tomato paste, 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard, ½ Tsp Salt and, ¼ TSP Black pepper
  2. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to coat.
    2 Tbsp Flour
  3. Add the bay leaf.
    1 Bay Leaf
  4. Gradually whisk in the beef broth, heavy cream.
    1 Cup Beef broth, 1 Cup Cooking cream
  5. Once the sauce starts boiling, return the cooked beef to the pot.
Simmer:
  1. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
