Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cups Whole Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp Semolina Flour
  • 100 G Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Rose Water
  • 1 Tbsp Blossom Water
  • 1 Pack Double Double cream - Optional
  • 2 Cups Sugar Syrup
  • 100 G Pistachio Crushed (+/-)
  • 6 Pcs Toasted Bread

Instructions
 

Prepare the Bread Base:
  1. Arrange the toasted bread in a single layer in a serving dish.
  2. Pour evenly the sugar syrup over the bread, allowing it to soak.

Prepare the Semolina Cream:
  1. In a saucepan, add milk, cornstarch, butter and semolina and mix well.
    4 Cups Whole Milk, 1 Tbsp Cornstarch, 100 G Butter, 2 Tbsp Semolina Flour
  2. Transfer to medium to high heat and keep stirring to prevent lumps.
  3. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens into a pudding-like consistency.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and rosewater and blossom water.
    1 Tbsp Rose Water, 1 Tbsp Blossom Water, 1 Pack Double Double cream - Optional
Add the layers:
  1. Pour the cream layer evenly over the soaked bread base.
Chill and Garnish:
  1. Garnish the semolina cream with crushed pistachios.
    100 G Pistachio
  2. Refrigerate the desert for several hours to allow the cream to set.

Notes

You can replace crushed pistachios with almond or walnuts.
If you are using soft bread, make sure to roast it a bit in the oven before adding the sugar syrup to it.
