Prepare the Bread Base:
- Arrange the toasted bread in a single layer in a serving dish.
- Pour evenly the sugar syrup over the bread, allowing it to soak.2 Cups Sugar Syrup
Prepare the Semolina Cream:
- In a saucepan, add milk, cornstarch, butter and semolina and mix well.4 Cups Whole Milk, 1 Tbsp Cornstarch, 100 G Butter, 2 Tbsp Semolina Flour
- Transfer to medium to high heat and keep stirring to prevent lumps.
- Continue stirring until the mixture thickens into a pudding-like consistency.
- Stir in heavy cream and rosewater and blossom water.1 Tbsp Rose Water, 1 Tbsp Blossom Water, 1 Pack Double Double cream - Optional
Add the layers:
- Pour the cream layer evenly over the soaked bread base.
Chill and Garnish:
- Garnish the semolina cream with crushed pistachios.100 G Pistachio
- Refrigerate the desert for several hours to allow the cream to set.
