Combine Wet and Dry:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in a tough cake. Stop mixing as soon as you no longer see streaks of flour.

- If you are using chocolate chips, add them at this stage and mix gently1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips

Prepare the Cake Mold:
- Prepare your cake mold (e.g., round, loaf pan) by either:
- Coating it evenly with butter and then dusting with flour, tapping out any excess.
- Lining the bottom with a circle or rectangle of parchment paper.

Prepare the Oven with Water:
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Find a small, oven-safe bowl and pour boiling water into it, filling it about halfway.
- Place this bowl of boiling water on one of the oven racks.

Bake the Cake:
- Carefully place the cake mold containing the batter on a separate oven rack in the preheated oven, alongside the bowl of hot water.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
- Once the cake is baked, carefully remove the cake mold from the oven.
- Let the cake cool in the mold for about 10-15 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
